Commonly Asked

Mood Questions Answered.

Is this therapy?
No. This is a diagnostic panel + psychiatry consult. We identify biological causes of mood issues (thyroid, B12, vitamin D, cortisol). Then we treat them. Therapy and medication are separate—you can pursue both.
What's the PHQ-9?
Patient Health Questionnaire-9. A 9-item screening tool for depression. Clinically validated. Scores 0–27. Used globally in psychiatry. Helps psychiatrists assess depression severity and treatment response.
Can blood tests affect mood?
No. The blood tests themselves don't affect mood. But the biomarkers they reveal do. Thyroid dysfunction, B12 deficiency, low vitamin D, high cortisol—all worsen anxiety & depression. Testing finds these so they can be fixed.
Will I be prescribed medication?
Maybe. If your screening score is high and you have no biological cause, SSRI may help. If thyroid is low, thyroid replacement first. B12 deficiency → B12. We treat the root cause. Medication is personalised, not automatic.
